어린 시절부터 나는 낙서를 하는 것을 유달리 좋아했다. 자그마한 낙서부터 공책을 빽빽이 채운 낙서까지 그 모든 작품이 나를 만족시켰다. 화가라는 직업을 택하고 성인이 되어버린 지금 나는 그때의 만족감을 쉬이 느끼지 못하고 계속해서 무언가 더욱 '작품'스러운 것을 찾아 헤매며 만족하지 못한다. 이 작품은 어린 시절의 행복감에 대한 향수이자 현재의 압박감의 공존의 묘사이다.
Since I was a child, I loved doodling. From small doodles to sketchbook filled with numerous doodles, every work satisfied me back then. Now as an adult and painter, I no longer enjoy satisfaction from doodling and always trying so hard to create something more 'paintery'. This work depicts coexistence of nostalgia for my childhood and pressure I feel these days.
